The thank you page is probably one of pages on your website that you think about the least. Most people don’t even know what message their thank you page is delivering, or even if they have a thank you page for that matter.

Whenever you capture a prospect from a lead form on your website, you should be sending that prospect to a thank you page. It’s one of the easiest sources of referral leads you’ll ever have.

After the prospects fills out a lead form, they are routed to a thank you page that tells them briefly about your other communities in close proximity or in the same city as this one. In this brief description you touch on the highlights and best attributes of your other communities and include a link to these other community websites.

This is a great opportunity to leverage this prospect, and quickly and easily alert them of your other communities that may be of interest to them. By providing a link, this allows them to click over to the other community websites and get more information. It’s an automated, instant lead referral program, and best of all it’s free.

You are not just limited to using this lead referral campaign on your website forms, you can use it in your email marketing as well. Whenever a lead gets onto one of your email marketing lists, you can send them this same info in an auto responder or automated follow up email message. Just like the check availability forms above, if you don’t have email marketing for your prospects and residents, you should. It’s a great way to interact with your customers and further build your relationship with them.

Monitor the Traffic Patterns

Be sure to review the Google Analytics data from your websites and monitor the traffic patterns from your thank you pages. This will allow you to see how much traffic is coming from your thank you pages to your other websites and better identify how many leads you’re generating.
